Cytology: We conduct a lot of cytology tests - the study of cells. Samples may be taken from the skin surface or sometimes with a very fine, virtually painless, needle.
Cytology provides valuable information allowing proper planning of medical or surgical treatment. We can make a diagnosis with minimal discomfort for your pet and even diagnose a benign problem which may prevent unnecessary surgery!
Blood tests: We have run blood tests in the practice laboratory since 1995. The laboratory equipment was last upgraded in 2003, and we now obtain fast and accurate results within 20 minutes.
Samples can be analysed at the surgery to provide rapid and accurate results.This means the vet can reach a correct diagnosis quickly and properly plan treatment for your pet.
