History
Ken Coutts first opened a veterinary surgery at 15 Shortmead Street during 1967. In those early days clients waited in what is still the waiting room and consultations were held in what is now the reception area. By 1976 the whole building was being used and the practice was busy with a mixture of small animals, farm animals and horses to look after. The ground floor was renovated in 1986 bringing the premises up to date. In 1997 the basement was converted to provide dedicated surgical, ultrasound and x-ray facilities.
