Vaccinations
Vaccination is one of the cornerstones of pet healthcare, ensuring your pet is protected against the major diseases. Your pet’s visit for its annual examination and booster vaccination is more than just an injection, we use the opportunity to perform a thorough examination, give advice on diet, suggest appropriate measures for flea and worm control and answer any questions you have about your pet’s health.
We use Intervet vaccines, shown to be safe and effective. Intervet were one of the pioneering companies trying to find out just how long their vaccines will protect animals and the results of their research have led to significant changes to vaccination programs.
Routine vaccinations include the following:
Dogs: Distemper, Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis. If your dog is likely to go to a boarding kennel we advise it should have the Kennel Cough vaccine as well. Click here to find out more.
Cats: Enteritis, the two major flu viruses, Feline Leukaemia Virus. Click here to find out more.
Each pet’s requirements will be assessed before giving appropriate inoculations.
